Crown of Lights at Comrades Club

My next gig is on Friday all the way up in Heckmondwike! Looking forward to it...

"As well as smelling nice at the Comrades Club in Heckmondwike on Friday 1st November, there will be two brand new acts and the return of the young and very gifted Morley singer/songwriter DYLAN BRIERLEY.

Crown of Lights looks set to host the largest acoustic act yet at the club with the roots and rock & roll combo 6 piece JON PALMER ACOUSTIC BAND from Otley. Described as a cross between The Pogues and Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Session Band with a bit of Waterboys and Saw Doctors thrown in for good measure! The line-up includes guitars, mandolin, whistle, double bass, violin, and drums. And everyone sings!

The third part of this amazing line-up is ROBERT LANE. Coming all the way from Birmingham Robert has appeared at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Birmingham Artsfest and The Tenby Blues Festival as well as venues including Birmingham's Glee Club and Jools Holland's famous venue The Jam House. He has supported a wide range of performers including Nell Bryden, Alice Gold, Cattle and Cane, Jazz Morley, Edwina Hayes, Steve Gibbons, Dan Whitehouse (who recommended Robert to Crown of Lights) and Steve Ajao.

We're all set for yet another incredible night.

Free entry and family friendly. Comrades Club Regent St Heckmondwike WF16 0HD Doors 8pm Friday 1st November"
